Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. There are different types of hepatitis, such as hepatitis A, B and C. Each type is named for the virus that causes it. Other causes of hepatitis include alcohol or drug use or an immune system response.

Loss of appetite and jaundice are some symptoms.

Treatments may include medicines and surgery.
