Neuroleptic malignant syndrome

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome is a serious nervous system reaction to certain drugs. These include tranquilizing and antipsychotic drugs.
Symptoms include high fever, unstable blood pressure, and rigid muscles.
Hospital treatment is frequently necessary. Use of the drug causing the reaction is stopped and other symptoms are treated.
