June 13, 2017
Temporomandibular joint dysfunction is pain and compromised movement of the joint that connects the jawbone to the skull and the surrounding muscles.
Jaw pain, difficulty chewing, and clicking and locking of the jaw joint are some symptoms.
Treatments include medications, bite guards, injections, physical therapy, and, sometimes, surgery.
